| 1,
Ensure vehicle is on level ground. |
Park off
the road or in a safe position |

| 2,
Switch off ignition |
Put car
in gear or park. |
 |
| 3, Apply
parking brake. |
If on
roadway, turn on hazard lights.
Make sure its safe to start |
 |
| 4,
Remove spare tyre. |
Ensure
spare tyre has been removed from vehicle
to allow rapid change of tyres. |
 |
| 5, Block
wheels. |
Block
front and rear wheel
opposite wheel being changed. |
 |
| 6,
Remove wheel trims.
|
If wheel
trims are fitted, insert flat end of wheel nut wrench
between wheel rim and cover to pry off from around rim. |
 |
| 7,
Loosen wheel nuts. |
Loosen
each wheel nut about one turn. |
 |
| 8,
Position jack under car.
|
At the
points notched into the car’s side seam.
Check your vehicle
manual if unsure of location of these jacking points. |
 |
| 9, Raise
car on jack. |
Put
handle on jack and turn jack handle clockwise.
Raise car until wheel is off the ground.
Never get under a car which is only being supported by a jack. |

| 10,
Remove wheel nuts. |
Then
remove tyre and fit spare tyre. |
 |
| 11,
Refit all wheel nuts. |
Tighten
to finger tightness.
Ensure wheel is correctly positioned on studs and evenly tighten
the nuts. |

| 12,
Lower car on jack. |
Turn
jack handle anti-clockwise to return vehicle to the ground.
Preferably using a
wheel brace, tighten wheel nuts. Be careful not to over tighten. |

| 13, Have
damaged tyre repaired. |
Ensure
the damaged tyre is repaired
or replaced as soon as possible. |
