What are the defects?

Oil may leak through the seal surrounding the engine oil sump. Prolonged oil leakage may result in engine damage and sudden stalling at high speed.

What are the hazards?

If the engine suddenly stalls when the vehicle is at high speed, this may increase the risk of an accident or fire and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.

What should consumers do?

Hyundai Motor Company Australia will notify affected owners by mail and invite them to take their vehicles to an authorised Hyundai dealership to have the vehicle inspected and repaired, at no charge.
